Vieques Adventure Company
Mountain Bike Rentals & Tours
What you get and what it costs (rates):
Mountain Bike Tours:
We
start in the early morning to take advantage of the cool air
and we’re
usually on the trail before the roosters have finished crowing,
the horses are still meandering under the mango trees and
the birds have hardly left their roost. (In my
opinion, this is the best part of the day here on Vieques Island.)
We start at a local
breakfast haunt for a little local coffee and a breakfast
sandwich, then we’re off to our rendezvous point.
Depending
on group size, ability and over all group disposition I’ll
customize the best route for everyone.
$75/pp-3-4hrs 10-15mile loops
$75/pp half day tour • 3-4 hours, 10-15 mile
loops, depending on rider ability
$105 full day tour • 7:00am-2:00pm
10-15 mile loop and finish the day at El Resuelve for some
Pescado en Salsa or my all time favorite Costilla (pork ribs)
arroz con habichuelas y amarillos.
In between all the food
we will tour Vieques in a different way from most who will
visit this incredibly resilient and diverse Eco-system, with more
U.S. Fish and Wildlife refuge land than any other island in the Caribbean.
We’ll
ride to jaw dropping beaches, heart pounding hill climbs and
views that not even the best camera can capture.
Bike Rentals:
Vieques Adventure Company offers pick-up and drop-off
to many guest houses on Vieques Island.
New Trek 4300 Mountain
Bikes make up the rental and tour fleet with frame sizes
from 13 to 21 inches. We are sure to have the right bike for
almost any size rider.
$25 / day • Rental period is sun-up to sun-down - includes
helmet, kryptonite lock, spare tube, and trail tools
With a map, a backpack and a bike you can go almost
anywhere and do most anything. Vieques Island is a perfect
size to for cyclists in average shape to get around.
***Drinks
and snacks are provided as part of bike tour, food stops
are meant to be an orientation for later similar Island interactions
and are not included***
